Sherlock Brothers is a five piece
band from Sweden that was formed in 2004. The band has
since then recorded and released demos, EP:s and albums
on their own. The self produced debut
album was released in spring 2009 and the first single “Sleeping
Silence” started to get airtime on Swedish radio.
In 2010 the band signed a record deal and will release
the “real” debut album through Ninetone Records together
with legendary producer Patrik Frisk in late 2010. The
first single from the album is the brand new song
“Stay”.
Sherlock Brothers is also known for their chaotic live
shows with loads of energy and insanely performed music.
The music can be described as grunge rock combined with
a 70:s kind of groove and a modern sound. A review of
the album were published in the biggest hard rock
magazine in Scandinavia “Sweden Rock Magazine” where the
music was described as a mix between Nirvana,
Soundgarden and Pearl Jam, but with a more unique and interesting
sound than post grunge bands like Nickelback.

Sherlock
Brothers är ett femmannaband från Mälardalen som
startades under 2004. Åren efter starten producerade och
släppte bandet demos, EP:s och album helt på egen hand. I början
av 2009 släpptes det egenproducerade debutalbumet vars
första singel ”Sleeping Silence” började spelas på radio
runt om i landet. Sherlock Brothers har också kommit att
bli
uppmärksammade för sina kaosartade livespelningar, som
ofta kännetecknas av lika stora doser svett och
rundgång. Detta innebar även att bandet 2009 vann
livemusiktävlingen ”Lidingörocken”.
Musiken kan förklaras som grungeinfluerad rock med en
unikhet som karaktäriseras av kombinationen av
70-talssväng och rockig grunge försett med ett modernt sound.
Albumet blev 2009 uppmärksammat i bland annat
Skandinaviens största hårdrockstidning Sweden Rock
Magazine där musiken beskrevs på följande sätt.
"Sherlock Brothers förebilder är förmodligen Nirvana,
Soundgarden och Pearl Jam men västeråsborna har en
tydlig egen identitet. Musiken är ömsom ösig, ömsom lugn
men inte mellantråkig likt postgrungiga Nickelback och
dylika akter.”
I samband med uppmärksamheten kring Sherlock
Brothers och det egenproducerade albumet skrev de på för
skivbolaget Ninetone Records och kommer under hösten
2010 äntligen att (över hela världen) släppa sitt
”riktiga” debutalbum producerat av Patrik Frisk (Takida,
Corroded, Itchy Daze). Första singeln från det kommande albumet är den hårt
svängiga ”Stay”.

Sherlock seem to have a cool view on the music they
are making. They don't care about clothes, image or
genres. Instead, they're focusing on the music, which is
more than ok, if you ask me. I am missing this kind of
view by many bands today...

Klockan åtta stormade kvällens andra vinnare Sherlock
Brothers in på scen och spelade lite hårdare rock.
Bandet var i final i Lidingö Rock redan 2006. Med snygga
riff och en karismatisk sångare – som både vågade
springa ut i publikhavet, krypa på golvet samt ta av sig
skjortan – bjöd bandet på en riktigt kul show.
